ICT

Welcome to the ICT Department.

The school is linked via a C2k school network to each classroom and 4 I.C.T. suites.
Students in Year 11 and 12 are time-tabled to 4 classes of ICT each week.
All students in Key Stage 4 study CCEA GCSE Information Communication and Technology at Foundation or Higher Tier.   Students complete coursework in the following areas
  • Creating a Multimedia Presentation
  • Producing a Booklet
  • Design a Web-site
  • Using the Internet
  • Database
  • Spreadsheet
Coursework is worth-60%
Exam is worth-40%
 
In 2008 75% of the students achieved grades A*-C.  This course has proved to be very enjoyable and rewarding as many students continue to study Information Technology at Armagh College of Further Education or St Patrick’s Grammar School.
