History
Welcome to the History web page. The History department in St. Brigid's High School has three department members, Mrs Noeleen Gillan, Miss Josephine Mc Guigan and Mr Tony Keegan.
History is not all about learning dates! Learning History is fun! In class you will be using a whole range of activities such as drama, role-pay, group work, videos, and ICT, to try and unravel the past.
In Year 8, you will have the chance to discover what studying History will involve and the new skills that you will learn. We will also study the Normans in Ireland.
In Year 9, we will be developing our historical skills even more as well as finding out about the Plantation of Ulster and about the start and finish of Slavery in America.
By Year 10, you will be a whizz at being an Historian, and you will be able to put your new skills to use as we discover modern Irish and European History.
