Access to quality Careers Education and Guidance is vital to the success of our young people and to Northern Ireland’s economic development.
The six statements of requirement are:
1 Explore self employment and identify relevant sources of support.
2 Examine the impact of globalisation on employment.
3 Investigate the recruitment and retention procedures taking into account the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers.
4 Consider how employers and employees might maintain an effective working environment.
5 Investigate the increasing social responsibility of business in the community.
6 Develop a personal career plan based on relevant information and guidance.
Here in St Brigid's we pride ourselves in offering first class Careers Guidance, Advice and Information. We strive to offer all of the above statements of requirement.
Mrs Bernie McCann works as an advisor with the Careers Service Northern Ireland and comes to St Brigid's one day per week to interview all year 12 pupils and offer advice and guidance.
