Year 8 Castle Building Competition

Category: General

Winners of annual competition

St. Brigid’s High School’s History Department has been amazed by the models of castles entered into their annual castle building competition.

The quality of the models has been very impressive and the standard improves every year.  This year there was stiff competition for the prizes and an independent adjudicator had to be called upon to judge the competition!  Mr Eamonn O’Hagan (Principal) decided on the winners after much deliberation.  First place was awarded to Ronan O’Kane, second to James Kelly and third went to Connor Madden.

The competition was organised by the Head of Environment & Society, Mrs Noeleen Gillan who said “ We try to give all our students a fun and varied learning experience, this competition allows pupils the opportunity to discuss what happens within the History classroom at home and engage the whole family in the learning process.  Well done everyone!”
