St. Brigid's High School, Armagh

History

The History Department aims to make learning enjoyable.  The Department has 3 staff members, Mrs Gillan (Head of Department), Ms McGuigan and Mr Keegan.  We work together to bring History to life for all of our students.  We use a wide variety of learning techniques to help you to reach your full potential.  We also try to take learning outside of the classroom and run a variety of History trips each year.

Let us inspire you………

Can you see yourself as William the Conqueror in 1066, defeating your enemy at the Battle of Hastings?
Can you use the internet to find out about Martin Luther King?
Are you a budding artist who could use their skills to illustrate the Plantation of Ulster?
Perhaps you can inspire people through the power of speech, just like Michael Collins.
Whatever your talent, we will help you to get the most out of your History lessons in St. Brigid’s!

We’ll help you to SAIL through History!
