Mentoring Programme

The aim of the Key Stage 4 Mentoring Programme is to improve the GCSE results for students at this school. Every student in Year 11 and 12 is allocated to a member of staff who then acts as that student’s personal mentor throughout his time in year 11 and 12.  The timetable is suspended four times a year, approximately every two months, to facilitate interviews. At the interviews, which parents are also invited to, mentors provide guidance, support students in their work, discuss areas of concern and agree short term S.M.A.R.T. targets and advice on how these targets can be achieved.
